Norman Quailon Owens – Obituary

Funeral for Norman Quailon Owens, 77, of Moulton will be Friday, April 4, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Harold Hall and Brother Carold Hall officiating. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Owens, who died Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at his residence, was born June 12, 1936, in Lawrence County to James Thomas Owens and Maggie Hall Owens. He retired as a dye setter for General Motors. He was a member of Highway 36 Holy Church of Christ. His parents preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Jean Terry Owens; three sons, Michael Owens of Decatur, James “Stormy” Norman Owens (Donna) of Scottsboro and Donald Purser (Renee) of Town Creek; five daughters, Debra Kay McCurry and Bonita Fay Goodwin, both of Decatur, Adrian Ann Moreno (Francisco) of Huntsville, Sonya Johnson (Jonathan) of Danville and Bridget Fulks of Moulton; two brothers, Horace Owens and James Cordie Owens, both of Falkville; four sisters, Margie Harnce, Anna Libauskas, Phyllis Waters and Janice Dutton, all of Moulton; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Michael Owens, Bryce Smith, Kris Owens, Josh Owens, Brandon Terry and Jonathan Johnson.
