Norman A. “Pap” Kerr – Obituary

Mr. Norman A. “Pap” Kerr, 98 of the McCord’s Crossroads Community, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at the Cherokee Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 20th at the Nazareth Baptist Church with Rev. Ted Elrod and Rev. Ronnie Highfield officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 P.M. Thursday and the body will lie in state at the church 1 hour prior to the service.
Survivors include 2 sons, Larry Kerr of Centre and Gary (Linda) Kerr of Rome, GA; daughters, Ann (Clinton) Crider and Jean (R.C.) Hester of Centre, Joan Matthews of Cave Spring, GA and Rhonda Tierce of West Point, GA; brothers, Lloyd Kerr of Rome, GA and Doyal Kerr of Centre; sisters, Edna Jo Jennings of Centre and Claudette Ledbetter of Jacksonville; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Kerr was a native of Cherokee County, the son of the late Robert and Ester Abernathy Kerr, was a retired welder and a member of the Nazareth Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to the Nazareth Baptist Church or the family will accept flowers.
Pallbearers: Dudley Kerr, Stanley Crider, Chris Kerr, Chad Kerr, Kevin Matthews, Todd Twilley, Corey Twilley, Tyde Tierce, Bryson Kerr.
