Norma Jean Henson Profile Photo Norma Jean Henson, age 85, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2024, at NHC-Columbia in Columbia, Tennessee. She was born on April 6, 1939, to the late Earl and Myrtle Johnson in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee.

Norma was a kind-hearted soul with a love for collecting turquoise, solving crossword puzzles, and reading. She grew up in the Church of Christ faith and enjoyed browsing for treasures in local junk stores. Her warmth and joy will be missed by all who knew her.

Norma was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Leon Henson; her parents; and her brother, Bubba Johnson. She is survived by her son, Scotty (Patti) Henson; her grandchildren, Deanna (Jon) Mayle, Kaynon (Brittney) Henson, and Kassidy (Michael) Johnson; her great-grandchildren, Peyton (Soledad Romero) Mayle, Macy (Isaiah) Mendoza, Ivy Johnson, and Jax Mayle; and her great-great-grandchild, Emilio Romero Mayle. She will also be fondly remembered by siblings: Bill (Vivian) Johnson, Josephine (Larry) Henson, Sarah (Claude) Luckett, Sue (David) Clayton, several nieces, nephews, and her cherished cat, Sylvester.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Norma’s siblings for their love, care, and unwavering support.

Norma’s legacy lives on in the lives of her family and friends, who will always remember her with love and gratitude.

In lieu of flowers, family ask that donations be made to Beech Hill Cemetery for their perpetual care.

A service will be held at a later date.

Williams Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
