Norma Jean Fowler Hallmark Dickens, 88, died Friday, October 18, 2024 at her residence in Columbia.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M Monday, October 21, 2024 at Polk Memorial Gardens with John Vaughan, and Nick Fowler officiating. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com
Norma was born on April 20, 1936 in Arkansas to the late Lawrence Fowler and the late Bertha Mae Wallace Fowler. In 1955 she married John Hallmark and had three children. She attended Graymere Church of Christ and was retired from the fabric department at Wal-Mart. Norma Loved going to the beach and the mountains, always bringing a deck of cards with her. For many years she ran an in-house daycare where she kept many, many kids. Norma loved being around her grandkids and her family.
Survivors include her two children Cindy (David) West, Johnny (Angela) Hallmark; grandchildren Matt (Paige) West, Adam (Autumn) West, Natalie (Brad) Drier, Charity (Kevin) Ring, Austin Hallmark, Tanner Hallmark; great grandchildren Emma West, Reese Drier, Ella West, Charleigh West, Parker Drier, Boone West, Ashton Marshall, Landon Marshall, Lilly Ring; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Steve Hallmark.
