Funeral for Norma Jean Cottingham Knight, 72, of Hillsboro will be Thursday, August 27, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with Bro. Dennis Terry and Bro. Charles Maples officiating. Burial will be in Morris Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Knight died Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at Lawrence Medical Center. She was born March 10, 1943, in Lawrence County to Doc and Inez Cottingham. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Larry Jean Knight and Brian Oneal Knight; and one brother, Melvin Cottingham.
Survivors include her husband, A.V. Knight; four sons, James Knight (Susan Atkinson), Milford Knight (Kim), Ricky Knight (Martha) and Stacy Knight (Angie); two daughters, Margie Garrison (Gilbert) and Vicky Sexton (Doug); 13 grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 11 stepgreat-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons.
