Nora Harris Lard, age 79, of Mt. Carmel, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, Dec. 1, at her home.
Nora was born on March 23, 1934, in Culleoka, Tenn. to the late Joe Cletus Harris and Olive Stromeyer Harris. Nora was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Hamner.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 61 years, Dalton Lard; two daughters, Catherine Panos, of Hixson, Tenn., and June Watts and husband, Rickie, of Soddy Daisy, Tenn.; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Vonda Reeves and husband, Bill, of Alabama; two brothers, Fred Harris and wife, Gladys, and Glen Harris and wife, Ann, both of North Carolina.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel at Oak Hill Funeral Home, with Pastor Ralph Owens officiating.
