Nora Elizabeth Jaggers, age 93 of Pontotoc MS, passed away, November 16, 2023. She was born in Pontotoc Mississippi on January 25, 1930. Loving wife, mother, and grandmother known by her grandchildren as Nanny. She worked for many years at Hunter Sadler and retired after finishing her career at Action Furniture. She was a lifelong member at Immanuel Baptist Church. Her hobbies included cooking for her family and friends, quilting, and gardening.
She is preceded in death by her parents Loyd Elford Jones and Lucille Fur Jones; her husband Carol M. Jaggers; her siblings Leroy Jones, Kathleen Smith, Loyd Elford Jones Jr., and Joyce Sappington; sister-in-law Willa Deen Jones, and son in law Donnie Crane.
She is survived by her son William Earl Jaggers(Carolyn), and her daughter Mary Evelyn Crane; Grandchildren Scott Crane(Amy), Shelley Townsend(John), Michael Jaggers(Teisha); Great-Grandchildren Katie Boren(Daniel), Ashley Carmichael(Ethan), Jacob Jaggers, Emily Jaggers, Will Townsend, and Olivia Townsend; and sister-in-law, Marie Jones.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc, MS. Funeral Service will be held Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Longview at 2:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 1 p.m. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
