Nolan Eugene Wilkes – Obituary

Nolan Eugene Wilkes, 85, of Madison, died peacefully in his home on the afternoon of Thursday, March 21, 2019 surrounded by family and friends.  Mr. Wilkes was a resident of Madison for 62 years and served as a fireman for the City of Huntsville for 36 years and City of Madison for four years.

Survivors include his daughters, Beverly Miller (Clarence) and Charlotte “Cissy” Collins (Ricky); five grandchildren, Jo Braswell, Jennifer Davenport, Lora Jones, Jeff Jones, and Joshua Collins; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Wilkes was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Wilkes; parents, John and Viola Wilkes; sisters, Evelyn Pollard and Pauline Certain; and brothers, Fred Wilkes, John Wilkes, and Pat Wilkes.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 24rd from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home followed by chapel service at 2:00 with Chaplain Douglas Simons.  Burial will be at Madison City Cemetery.
