Funeral services for Nola Holaway, 88, of Decatur, will be Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 11:00 at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jimmy Watson and Reverend Jesse White officiating. Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Holaway passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born September 13, 1936, in Grenola Kansas to Ernest Long Havner and Mary Catterlin Havner. Mrs. Holaway was a loving homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Hartselle. Nola loved to be with her family. She was happiest when all her children were together, particularly at Christmas. She was an avid sports fan, especially if her grandchildren were playing. She was a gifted Sunday School teacher for many years and loved the Lord first and foremost and would share Him with anyone that she came in contact with.
Mrs. Holaway was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Gerald Holaway, her parents, eight brothers, one sister, and also by her grandchild, Alex Hanna and one great grandchild.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda Hanna, Jane Holaway and Cheryl Justice (Scott). Grandchildren, Brad Hartselle, Brandon Hartselle (Nancy), Sarah Smith (Justin), Ryan Justice (Jessica), Adam Hanna (Kayla), Hunter Hanna (Beth) and Kyle Justice (Kait); great-grandchildren, Laura Mize, Emily Mize, Charlie Hartselle, Parke Hartselle, Levi Justice, Noah Justice, Madison Hanna, Liv Hanna and Caroline Hanna.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Brad Hartselle, Brandon Hartselle, Ryan Justice, Adam Hanna, Hunter Hanna, Kyle Justice and Justin Smith.
