Nola Fay Payne, 85 of Warrior, passed away Sunday Feb. 12, 2023 at her residence.
She was a homemaker and attended Good Hope Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Payne; children, Aubery Payne and Sue Payne; parents, Lewis and Velma Johnson and Dessie Johnson, along with five brothers and sisters.
This loving wife, mother and grandmother is survived by her children, Rita Kimbrell, Wanda Sanders (Wayne), Ted Payne (Kendra) and Janie Blackmon (Terry Wayne); grandchildren, Daryl Sanders, Amanda Wheeler (Barry), Savannah Tuggle (Mike), Dawn Reeves (Ryan), Christopher Blackmon, Ashley Cofield, Matthew Payne, Kayla Kilpatrick (Greg), Ashley Peterson (Dakota), Leslie Curtis (Peter), Devin Johnson, Lillie Gant (Chaz), Nathan Phillips, Cade Phillips and Cameron Bennett; thirty two great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; several other family members and many friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday Feb. 15, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Tim Blackmon will officiate. Burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 12:30-2 pm.
Pallbearers will include, Barry Wheeler, Brayson Payne, Nathaniel Sanders, Ryan Reeves, Matthew Payne, Cade Phillips, Christopher Blackmon and Peter Curtis. Honorary pallbearers will be Daryl Sanders, Ethan Reeves, Nathan Phillips and Dakota Peterson.
