Noel Roy Counce, 82 of Muscle Shoals, AL passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at the home of Melanie and Matthew Sparks. He was a member of Midway Church of Christ in Trinity, AL.
Before his retirement, he served in the Alabama National Guard for over 24 years, worked for the city of Tuscumbia Parks and Recreation Department for 26 years, and worked several years at Reynolds Metals. He also worked many years part-time as a carpenter / handy man. He loved spending his time working with his hands, playing golf, watching Alabama football, loving his wife and family and spending time with the Grandkids.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 23rd, 2023 at Colbert Memorial Chapel in Tuscumbia, AL from 1pm to 2pm. Services will immediately follow and will be officiated by Bro. Haskell Sparks. Burial will be at Colbert Memorial Gardens. Colbert Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his Son, Christopher N Counce (Beverly) of Tuscumbia, AL; his Daughter, Melanie C Sparks (Matthew) of Olive Branch, MS; his Brother, David Counce (Jean) of Florence, AL; three Sisters, Faye Greenhill (late Husband, Loy) of Hartselle, AL; Rozella Kitchens (Herman) of Covington, GA; Marie McCorkle (Joe) of Tuscumbia, AL; his Six Grandchildren, Victoria Counce, Claudia Counce, Parker Sparks, Seth Sparks, Savannah Sparks and Naomi Sparks; Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, Elmer and Cora Counce of Colbert Heights, AL; his Wife Wanda Harris Counce of Muscle Shoals, AL; his brother, Bill Counce (late Wife, Joyce) of Florence, AL; his sister, Betty Black (Jimmy) of Muscle Shoals, AL.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Parker and Seth Sparks, nephews Doug and Michael Montgomery, nephews Billy and Brad Counce.
