Noble Dreghorn – Obituary

Noble Dreghorn passed away May 22, 2016. Noble was born in Paisley, Scotland. He lived and worked in Kuwait for 17 years. He was transferred to Houston, Texas in 1986 where he lived until 1998 when he and his wife, Patricia, moved to Alabama.

Noble graduated from Glasgow University, Glasgow Scotland. He served in Royal Army Corps, 1947-1957. he was a member of Chartered Accounting in Scotland, a member of Institute of Chartered Accounting, Scotland, he was Treasurer of Newcastle Chamber Commerce, a member of Scottish Heritage Foundation, Houston, Texas, a member of New Beginning Church, Florence.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Dreghorn, Florence; son, Peter Dreghorn (Elisa) Houston, TX; daughter, Lesley Dreghorn, Glasgow, Scotland; step son, Barry Belew (Shawn) Huntsville, AL; step daughter, Beverly Baldwin (Ralph), Jackson, MS; four grandchildren, two step grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Susie Whiteford, Scotland; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held July 17, 2016, 3:00 PM at New Beginning Church, 855 Florence Blvd., Florence, AL, with Dr. Tom Phillips, Pastor of New Beginning Church, officiating. A special thanks to all the people who sent their condolences to the family. A special thanks to Dr. Tom Phillips who was there to assist the family during this sad time. Also, the family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses of Hospice of Tennessee Valley, the nurses and employees of Mitchell-Hollingsworth. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Beginning Church, 855 Florence Blvd. Florence, AL 35630.
