Noble Archer Baskin

  Noble Archer Baskin, 97, resident of Tupelo, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2023, at Sanctuary Hospice House following an extended illness.

Funeral services for Mr. Baskin will be Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 1 p.m. in the Heritage Chapel of Ripley Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until time of service.  Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Mr. Baskin was born on February 18, 1926, in Mason, TN, the son of the late Raymond and Lennie Archer Baskin.  He was a graduate of Byars Hall in Convington, TN and in May of 1946, married his beloved wife, the former Johnnye Hill who preceded him in death.  Mr. Baskin was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, where he served in WW II and the Korean Conflict.  He was employed as a plant manager for many companies including Coors Beer Corporation before his retirement.

An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Baskin loved fishing and traveling throughout the U.S. especially trips to the mountains and beaches.  He had a passion for reading, always learning, creating and trying new things.

Memories will be shared by his daughter, Rita Halpern (Richard Micheletti) of Memphis, two grandchildren, Leslie and Joel Halpern, five great-grandchildren, Jackson, Rowan, Lola, Issiah and Gabriel.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Baskin is preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
