Nina Lee French Young, age 94 of Jackson, passed away on May 5, 2023 at Christian Care Center of Bolivar.
Mrs. Nina was born on April 26, 1929 in Bemis, TN, the daughter of the late Carlos Lee and Frankie Smith French. She was a member of Malesus United Methodist Church for seventy-five years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Ray Curtis “Shot” Young who passed away on May 13, 1998.
The matriarch of her beloved family, she leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son, Barry Lee Young and wife, Ramona; her daughter, Peggy Raye Young Riley and husband, Rusty; her grandchildren, Matthew Russell Riley and wife, Megan, Megan Raye Riley Williams and husband, Casey, Ryan Curtis Young, and Andrew Tyler Young and wife, Leslie; and her great grandchildren, Rafe Canaan Lewis, Oliver David Williams, and Cooper, Tyler, and Mason Young.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff, residents, and their families at Christian Care Center of Bolivar. Your outpouring of love, friendship, and wonderful care will always be treasured. May God bless you all!
Graveside services for Mrs. Nina will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Ebenezer Cemetery on Medon Malesus Road in Malesus. Rev. Travis Penney of Malesus United Methodist Church will officiate. Friends may gather in the cemetery beginning at 1:30 pm.
