Nina Holcomb, 78, died Friday, June 3, 2022, at the North MS Medical Center, Hospice. She was born May 25, 1944, in Union County to Ralph and Annie Mae Teague Carter. She was of Baptist Faith. She worked many years for the United Blood Services and over 18 years as a tour guide at the Elvis Presley Birth Place. She enjoyed watching western and was an avid Elvis fan. She loved her cat, Sassy.
Services will be 3:30 PM Saturday at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim Roaten officiating. Entombment will be in Lee Memorial Park’s Hope Mausoleum. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
She is survived by her two sons, Ricky Owen of Saltillo and Tony Owen (Sandy) of Palmetto; one brother, Thomas Carter of Plantersville; one sister, Barbara McDonald of Colorado; three grandchildren, Jacob Kirk, Steven Owen and Haley Owen Allen (Will).
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Roxanne Kirk; a son, Ronald O’Brian Owen; a grandson, David Michael Owen; a brother, Ronnie Carter and her husband, Raymond Holcomb.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
