Nina Gertrude Coker, 85 of Warrior, where she lived for 35 years, passed away Sunday November 12, 2023.
She was a member of Sumiton Church of God where she was very active in the choir, volunteer work and was also a greeter. She was formerly employed at Ken Glover Drugs in Dora. She was retired from Bell South.
Funeral services will be Thursday November 16, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Lane Sargent and Rev. Shaun Faulkner will officiate. Burial will follow in the New Horizon Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm -2:00pm.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Coker; daughter, Karen Stano; parents, Tommy and Ruth Barrett; and 5 brothers.
Survivors include her children, Chick Cheatwood, Suzanne Leech (Jeff) and Michelle Green; grandchildren, Jason Woerner, Nicholas Cheatwood, Corey Green (Mary), Cody Green (Madison), Emily Crook (Nick), Courtney Piteo (Josh), Taylor Ard and Holley Leech; 10 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
