Nina Bevis McMurtrey, 75 of Florence, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024.;
Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 9 at 10-11:30 a.m. at Greenview Funeral Home, Florence. The mausoleum service will be Friday, February 9 at 12 p.m. at the Tri- Cities Memorial chapel with Larry Harper officiating. Interment will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
She was a member of Sherrod Avenue Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, nana, and homemaker. Her passion was sewing and decorating. Preceding her in death were her parents: Romine and Mildred Bevis and brother Tommy Bevis.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Thomas (Tom) McMurtrey, of Florence.
son: Shannon McMurtrey (Wendy), of Tuscaloosa, AL, daughter: Becky Phillips (Jamey), of Rogersville AL.
Brothers: Roy (Myra) Bevis, of Washington, IL, Donnie (Linda) Bevis, of Florence.
Sisters: Lil Allen of Memphis, TN., and Cathy Oliver, of Florence, AL.
Sister in law: Janice Bevis, Center Star, AL
Two grandchildren Chase Azbell (Hannah Cummings) and Carter Azbell.
Pallbearers will be Chase Azbell, Carter Azbell, Greg Bevis, Brent Olive, Landon Olive, and Robbie Willingham.
Memorials may be made to The Alzheimer’s Foundation.
