Nicole Renea Myers, 39, peaceably passed away November 29, 2022 at home surrounded by family members and loved ones. She was born December 25, 1982 in Memphis, TN and lived in Starkville, MS most of her life.

She is survived by her natural mother, Lynda McAlpine, her adopted mother and father, Debra and John Rigsby; her daughter, Jasmine Anne LePage; her brother, John McAlpine; and her aunt, Anne McInnes.

A loving and caring mother and daughter, Nicole was a leader, strong, confident, bright, determined, and honest, showing concern and care for those around her. She sought to establish and follow her own path and way in the world, brightening it like a comet while she was here. Nicole will be deeply missed, loved and remembered by those whose lives she touched on her earthly journey. We love you greatly, greatly, greatly.

The family wishes to express its appreciation to the doctors and nurses of the Critical Care Hospital of UMMC in Jackson, MS, the UAB hospital in Birmingham, AL, the Baptist Hospital in Columbus, and OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville, for keeping Nicole alive and offering hope in the weeks prior to her passing.

Nicole died of Stage 4 cancer that had spread through multiple organs of her body an hour or so after coming home. Her bed was surrounded by family telling her that we loved her as her heart stopped and the body closed down. We miss you and love you.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS, with the funeral service immediately following in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Jim Genesse will officiate the service.
