FLORENCE – This past Friday, Florence city officials formally opened up the new bridge at Mars Hill Road. The culmination of a project that was started in 2015, the two lane bridge spans Cox Creek and replaces a 69-year-old bridge that, for years, has been in great need of replacement. Actual construction of the project started this past Spring.
Mayor Steve Holt, Council President Dick Jordan and City Council Members were on hand to cut the ribbon.
