Nettie Mae Mashburn Seal Nettie Mae Mashburn Seal, age 92, of Russellville, passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, June 26, 2024, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s.

Nettie Mae was born on Saturday, July 04, 1931, in the Mt. Hebron Community of Franklin County.  A beautiful lady that Alzheimer’s took parts of her away from us years ago, but it never got her sweet loving heart.  She may not have known our names, but she knew she loved her family.  She loved and wanted to hug and kiss everyone she met and always would tell them she loved them.  Anyone that met her just fell in love with her.  She could be funny & always wanted to make you laugh.  She made great biscuits, a wonderful congealed salad, and was the only person in the world that loved to wash dishes.   She loved being outside and could make anything grow.     On Wednesday morning we watched her draw her last breath and walk into the arms of Jesus.  We will miss Nettie Mae, our mom, grandmother, and friend, but we find peace knowing know she is healed, she is happy, and will never be in pain again.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Sandy Malcom Seal; son-in-law, Ben Nelson; grandson, Justin Nelson; parents, Buran Haywood & Estell (McDougle) Mashburn; brother, Johnny Mashburn; and sisters, Emmie Kay Jones & Judy Morrow.

She leaves to treasure her memories, her children, Windy Nelson; Renee Kimbrough (Jeff), Michael Seal (Christina); grandchildren, Benji Nelson (Leigh), Tiffany Smith (Ben), Tabitha Wise (Mason), Emily Kimbrough; great-grandchildren, Tyler Nelson, Skyler King (Coby), Austin Nelson (Addi), Christian Prince (Austin); great-great-grandchildren, Realynn, Adalynn, & Lillian Mae King; Beau, Charlie, & Darby Nelson, Ayla Prince; brother-in-law, Larry Morrow; sister-in-law, Olene Seal; and a host of nieces & nephews.

The visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Spry Memorial Chapel.  The funeral will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with Bro. Neil Carter and Austin Prince speaking at the service.  The burial will be at Franklin Memory Gardens.
