Ms. Nellie Ruth King of Arab, Alabama; gained her wings in the early hours of Thursday – July 8, 2021 at the age of 77 years.
Ms. King was born on February 2, 1944 in Marshall County, Alabama to the late Claude Grizzard and Bessie Peterson Grizzard. Ms. King was an office manager for Dr. Neil Christopher for 20 years and was also an administrative assistant for the City of Guntersville Mayor’s office. Nellie’s greatest joy in life was being “Nana” to her five beloved grandchildren.
Ms. King will be forever remembered by her; sons, Chris King (Cynthia), Mike King (Menia) and Mark King (Cynthia); sister-in-law, Jo Grizzard; granddaughters, Allison Averso (Dominick), Abby Broyles (Michael), Emma Phelps (Dale), Amber Murphree (Tanner) and Jada King.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday – July 12, 2021 at the Guntersville Church of Christ at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Phillip Bradley, officiating.
