Nellie Ruth Galloway, 77, of Haleyville, entered into rest Monday, January 12, 2015, at her residence.
Mrs. Galloway was born on August 4, 1937. She was a member of Bear Creek Church of Christ for 45 years. Nellie loved reading.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 6-9pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where services will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 1pm. Burial will follow in Roden Cemetery in Town Creek. Terry Allen Littlejohn to speak with Harold McInnish to officiate.
Nellie is survived by her daughters, Melba (Billy) Hale, Kathy Frederick, Carol (Joe) Brazier and sister, Clara Mae Cole. She was “Grandma Nellie” to 8 grandchildren, Terry Allen Littlejohn, Andy Frederick, Scott Frederick, Sybrina Westmoreland, James Lowell McGuire, Michael Wayne McGuire, Minor Ray Brazier, Katie Mae Brazier, 9 great grandchildren, Zachary Allen Littlejohn, Emily Bell Westmoreland, Sean Landon McGuire, Kaitlyn McGuire, Collin Wayne McGuire, Harlie Ann McGuire, Liam McGuire, Dixie McGuire, and baby McGuire arriving in July.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Onnie Galloway; parents, Scott and Katie Bell Jeffreys; sister, Melba Lee Jeffreys and son in law, Alfred Fletcher.
