Nellie Marie Holland, 83, passed away Friday, December 16, 2022 at Generations of Red Bay. She was born in Vina, AL to Vess and Dora Bell Jackson Humphres. She farmed for many years and was a homemaker. She was a member of Good Springs Free Will Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Sunday, December 18, 3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Jerry Humpries and Bro. J.C. Blackburn officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by three children, June Holland (Linda), Gail Parrish (Terry) and Rita Cochran (Pat); grandchildren, Jennifer Fuller, Brandon Parrish (Brittany), Elisha Coons (Ryan), Patrick Cochran, Andria Alexander (Cory) and Tim Deaton (Karen); great-grandchildren, Abigail Fuller, Kara Fuller, Remie Kate Alexander, Blaire Marie Alexander, Destiny Deaton, Ashlyn Deaton and Tripp Price; her siblings, Herbert Humpres, Jerry Humphres, Lloyd Humphres and Vernesse Holland and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Holland; her parents; her son, Michael Holland; one brother, Marvin Humphres and one sister Oneda Parrish.
Pallbearers will be Paul Humphres, Jason Humphres, Kenny Holland, Royce Miller, Ryan Coons and Cory Alexander.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 18, 12-3 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
