Nellie Jo Mitchell, age 88, of Albertville, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, while surrounded by her loving family. Nellie was born March 27, 1933 in Grant, Al to the late Oliver Arble and Idella Franks. Mrs. Mitchell was a life long resident of Huntsville. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Irby Louis “Buddy” Mitchell, brothers O.A. Franks, John Freeman Franks, Charles Franks, Lawrence Franks, Roy Franks and Ray Franks. Sisters Bobbie Clo Cowart, Bonnie Franks and Sally Franks. She is survived by her sisters Cynthia Ann Mitchell and Mary Hugh Bouillion, and a host of nieces and nephews that loved her dearly. Visitation for Nellie will be held Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd Ne, Huntsville, Alabama 35811. Following the visitation will be a the celebration of life service at 2:00 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel, 698 Winchester Rd Ne, Huntsville, Alabama 35811.
