Nelle Lorraine Strope Noah, age 93 of Belvidere, Tennessee, passed away on January 4, 2023. Nelle was born on August 18, 1929, to Albert Jessie Strope and Lillie Mae Wilbanks Strope in the Maxwell Community. In 1952, she married the love of her life, Wilson (Moody) Noah. They went on to have one son, Kenneth Noah of Belvidere, who survives. She spent her life as a homemaker and was a fantastic cook. Her hobbies were crocheting, gardening, and canning. She was a life-long member of the Maxwell Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and husband, Nelle was preceded in death by her brothers, Lemuel, Willard, Albert Jessie Jr, and Howard Strope; and sisters, Mamie Morris, Myrtle Syler, Velma Butler, Gertrude Butler, and Vera Jacks. She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Kaye) Noah of Belvidere; grandsons, James (Kristen) Noah of Belvidere, and Robert (Roni) Noah of Newton, Utah; great-grandchildren, Spencer Noah of Whitehouse, Rilee Noah of Weatherford, Texas, Sawyer Noah of Belvidere, and River and Arrow Noah of Newton, Utah; nephews, Roy Butler of Winchester, James Strope of Fayetteville, Eddie Strope of Woodbury, and Terry Jacks of Plano, Texas. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 2:00pm on Sunday, January 8, 2023, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Maxwell Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Maxwell Cemetery fund in her honor.
