Nellaree Woodruff, age 82, of Arab Alabama, died Thursday, July 7, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Woodruff was born on November 4, 1933 in Cullman County to Charlie Elrod and Mary L. Johnson Elrod. She worked for many years in the Arab area as a waitress including the L-Rancho. Her husband William Grady Woodruff preceded her in death on May 12, 1966.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law: Charles and Margaret Woodruff; daughters and son-in-law: Patricia Woodruff Meins, Linda Woodruff Leonard, Janet and Joseph Garland; fifteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brothers and sister-in-law: Dean and Martha Elrod, Jerry Elrod; sister: Jerita Cobb. She was preceded in death by her husband: William Grady Woodruff; her parents: Charlie and Mary Elrod; daughter: Donna Marsh; one grandchild; brothers: Howard Elrod, Herbert Elrod, Larry Elrod and Terry Elrod; two sisters: Melinda Woods and Carolyn Jones.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brother: Dean Elrod, officiating. Burial will be in New Canaan Cemetery. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Tim Leonard, Daniel Knop, David Garland, Jamie Woodruff, Blake Elrod and Stephen Dubas.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Sunday July 10, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
