Nell Rutherford Walls, 88, of Owens Cross Roads, passed away Monday. She received the Holy Ghost on April 2, 1950. A few years later she married the love of her life Albert E.C. Walls on January 19, 1953.
She was preceded in death by husband, Albert E.C. Walls; father, Zeimer Rutherford; mother, Julia Scott Rutherford; three brothers; Verlin, Charles and Al Rutherford; two sisters; Elvie Winkles and Donnie Wright and grandchildren, Cole Walls, Karrie Walls, and Savanna Stapler.
Surviving are son, Danny & Donna Fann Walls; daughter, Teresa & Bruce Stapler; grandchildren, Brad Stapler, Eric & Amy Stapler, Kasey & Mike Acklin; great grandchildren, Jaxon Stapler, Alyssa Stapler, South Stapler, Kolton Acklin, Addison Acklin; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Brad Stapler, Eric Stapler, Mike Acklin, Tyler Smith, Mitch Smith, Matthew Hubbard. Honorary Pallbearers will be James “Bear” Guffey, Tommy Smith, Shawn Rutherford, Tim Wright, Toney Wright and Lee Lawson.
Visitation will be Wednesday 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Big Cove Holiness Church. Services will follow at 3:00 PM with Bro. Ollie Taylor and Bro. Mark Warren officiating.
Interment will be in the Green Valley Cemetery.
