Nell Marie Rogers, of Ardmore, Alabama passed October 21, 2023 at Limestone Health Facility. Born March 11, 1932, in Madison County, she was the daughter of Roy and Birdie (Watson) Rogers.
Nell graduated from Blanche High School in 1950 and began her working career at WE Stephens Pulaski, Tennessee; five years and K & M Paint & Glass Company Huntsville. Alabama; twenty nine years and Valley Insurance Company Huntsville, Alabama two years and Lyall Alabama, Ardmore, Alabama ten years and Accounting & Business Service Ardmore, Alabama ten years. Nell was a member of First Baptist Church Ardmore was Church Treasurer for twenty-one years. Nell enjoyed travel and had the privilege of going to the Holy Land eight times.
She was preceded in death by her parents and Sister Lillian Rogers and Brother Wilson Rogers, Sr. and Nephew Wilson Rogers, Jr., and Sister -in Law Minnie Rogers.
Survivors include Sister Ruby Helums and Niece Kathy (Ronnie) Curry, Nephew Curtis Helums, Great Nephews Dana (Brittany) Rogers, Dr. Richard (T J) Curry, Zachery Curry, Ben (Kat) Curry, Alex Curry, Scott Curry. Great Niece Mindy Helums. Niece in law Carolyn Rogers and Sister- In- Law, Ethel Rogers. Special cousins Johnny Barber who called or text every day and Diane (Terry) Clardy who text every day and special neighbor Donna Patterson and Mr. & Mrs. Angie Green and special travel friend Anita Warden and many cousins and friends. One cat Smokie.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 24, 2023, from 5 to 7 PM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 11AM at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home with Richard Curry and Johnny Barber officiating. Burial will follow in Gatlin Cemetery.
