Nell WebbNell Hill Webb, age 91, a life-long resident of Lewisburg, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord early Monday morning, August 21, 2023, at NHC Oakwood.

She was born January 11, 1932, in Giles County, Tennessee, to her parents the late Bob T. Hill Sr. and Stella Mae Burrow Hill. She graduated from Marshall County High School in 1950 where she was an outstanding basketball player holding many school records. In her earlier adult life, she worked at Lewisburg Phone Company, Genesco, and Peoples & Union Bank. Nell and her sister, Frances, and her brother, George, were baptized at First Baptist Church in Lewisburg during their high school years. Nell married William F. (Bill) Webb on October 25, 1952. They raised their sons, Frank and Jack as active members of First Baptist Church. In the latter 1970’s, she and Bill joined Parkview Baptist Church where she has been a member since. She loved playing softball even into her 50’s.

Nell is preceded in death by her parents; her husband William F. (Bill) Webb; an older brother Bob T. Hill Jr., and older sister Frances Hill.

She is survived by two sons, Frank (Robin) Webb and Jack (Susan) Webb, both of Lewisburg; brother George (Bettie) Hill of Huntingdon, TN; brother-in-law Bobby Webb of Lewisburg; three grandchildren, Chris (Jami) Webb of Mt Juliet, Tara (Jake) Isham of Lewisburg, and Mary (Brian) Thompson of Lebanon; seven great grandchildren, Caleb and Mandy Isham; Briley, Jase, and Lawson Thompson; and Eli and Evan Webb; six nieces and nephews, Bob T. Hill III, Linda Hill Spitters, Kim Bridges, Kevin Hill, Phyllis Bond and Diane McKnight as well as a number of great and great great nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at 11:00 am from the Chapel of London Funeral Home, 324 West Church Street, Lewisburg, Tennessee 37091, with Bro. Cliff Vines officiating followed by burial in Duncanville Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be held at London Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, from 9:30 am until the funeral hour at 11:00.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Missions program at your local church.

London Funeral Home and Crematory is honored to assist the family with the arrangements.
