Nell Cross Turner, age 95, of Ethridge, TN passed away Tuesday, January 09, 2024, at her residence. She was a native of Ethridge, TN, where she and her husband designed and built the two-story log home they spent the golden years of their life living in. She was retired from Murray Ohio, an accomplished seamstress, a gracious hostess to many, and traveled extensively. Nell was also the oldest living member of Ethridge Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Garland and Myrtle Clifton Cross; her husband of 63 years, Henry Ford Turner; her step-mother, Margaret Thomas Cross; three brothers, Thomas Garland Cross, Billy James Cross, and Jessie Ray Cross; and one sister, Mary Ann Holt.
She is survived by one daughter, The Honorable Dianne Turner of Brentwood, TN; one sister, Jannie Cross of Ethridge, TN; her caregivers and devoted friends, Debbie Bailey and Cerena Littrell; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:30 AM Saturday, January 13, 2024, with David Stofel officiating. Interment will follow at Ethridge Masonic Cemetery in Ethridge, TN. The family suggests memorials be made to Ethridge Church of Christ Building Fund.
