Nell C. Haynes, 91, of Huntsville, passed away Monday. Nell was a graduate of Randolph County High School and Auburn University with a BS degree in home economics. Her hobbies included sewing, gardening, fishing, and she especially loved working in her flower gardens in the spring. She always had sweets in her home and made sure everyone was fed. Nell was known as a very independent lady.
Nell was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Jefferson and Maybell Camp; sisters, Mary Camp Hollingsworth, Mae Camp McLeod, Betty Cofield, Iola Chaffin and Mrs. L.M. Chaffin; brother, Wiley Camp and her beloved husband, Rudolph, whom she is now with for eternity.
Survivors include sons, John Anthony Haynes of Huntsville, Phillip Robin Haynes of Hartselle, Russell Rudolph Haynes, Jr. (Kay) of Fairhope, and Timothy Camp Haynes (Kathy) of Huntsville; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery.
