Nelda Louise Lambert, 77, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, in her home. Louise was a lifelong member of New Salem Baptist Church and loved attending. Whether it was going out to eat, riding on the golf cart, or traveling with her husband, she loved being out. She also enjoyed singing and shopping. There was nothing more that she loved, however, than gathering with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and dogs. Louise is survived by her husband, Roger Lambert; her sons, Jason Lambert (Traci) and Joshua Lambert (Kelli); her grandchildren, August, Oliver, Judah, Silas, and Lucy Lambert; her siblings, Sam South (Sheila) and Donald Roy South (Annette); and a host of other nieces, nephews, and family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clester and Frances South; her siblings, Della Puckett (John), Ona Hazelwood (Ken), Wanda Prewitt (James), and Delton South (Ruby); and her special nephew, Brett Prewitt. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at New Salem Baptist Church. Funeral services are scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at New Salem Baptist Church, officiated by Bro. Ron Norvell. Interment will be in New Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers include Darryl Hazelwood, Jeff Hazelwood, Keith Puckett, Dusty Puckett, Tyler Barnes, August Lambert, Oliver Lambert, Judah Lambert, and Maury Reeves. Memorials may be made in Louise’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
