Funeral for Nelda Faye Kennedy, 70, of Trinity, will be Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Parkway Funeral Home, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Bobby Ray Halbrooks officiating. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 1, 2016, from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Kennedy, who died Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, Parkway Campus, was born Friday, Dec. 28, 1945, to Roy Lee Garrison and Thelma McMillan Garrison. She was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church. She enjoyed family. She was preceded in death by father, Roy Lee Garrison; mother, Thelma McMillan Garrison; husband, Windell Kennedy; two brothers, Cline Garrison and Rod Garrison.
Survivors include son, Jason (Renee) Kennedy; daughter, Wendy (Scott) Prater; brother, Forrest Garrison; seven sisters, Annie Sue Hill, Racine Rasmussen, Betty VanDerslik, Glenda Garrison, Becky Gillespie, Vickie McCoullough, and Melinda Allen; and two grandchildren, Brett Kennedy and Braxton Kennedy.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
