Nelda Black, 86, went to be with The Lord on the afternoon of December 31, 2022, in Cordova, AL, surrounded by her loving family.
Nelda was an intelligent, hilarious, care-free, and loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She loved vacationing with her husband, gardening, storytelling, and reading her favorite books. She was a dedicated employee to First National Bank of Jasper for over 40 years. Those that knew her well knew that she loved to spend time with her family and friends and kept them laughing as much as possible. Our Nan was an incredible person that many got the pleasure of knowing, and her legacy will live on with us forever.
Mrs. Black is preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Ray Black; father Levi Chester Estill; mother Hazel Perrin Estill; sisters Dorothy Borden & husband Mack, Mary Hollingshead & husband Donald, Betty Sargent & husband Bob, Carol Reed, Tommie Cordell & husband W.H., and Judy Estill; brother Lee Estill; and brother-in-law Terry Sellers.
