Ned P. Boston
February 26, 1942 – September 10, 2024
Born the fourth of five children to Dr.& Mrs. W.A. Boston. He is survived by his wife Mayecilla; his brother, David; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Ned graduated from Bartlett high School in 1961 and Union University in 1966. At Union he was very active in the A.T.O. fraternity and remained an active supporter of Union.
Upon graduation, he went to work for the George B Jones accounting firm and worked his way into a partnership position. He left the firm in 1991 and with his wife Nancy (deceased 2012) moved to iuka.
Ned enjoyed living in iuka. He was very active in a number of civic clubs as well as being a member of Iuka Baptist Church. It was while a member of Iuka Baptist that he met and married Mayecilla, with whom he so much enjoyed the last years of his life. He currently enjoyed being a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church, a place he considered to be his church “family”.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial celebration of his life will be held at Yellow Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, gifts or remembrances should be donated to Union University in Jackson, TN in his honor.
