Neal Morris Merlis

Age 77 of Cross Plains Passed away Thursday, February 1, 2021 at his home. He was born March 1, 1943 in Brookline, Massachusetts to William & Sarah Bloom Merlis. He worked as a General Manager for UniFirst. He enjoyed golf and racquetball. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines and was an avid animal lover, especially his cat, Callie. He is preceded in death by his parents; First wife, Elaine Merlis; brother, Paul Merlis. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Merlis, Cross Plains, TN; son, Eric (Suzanne) Merlis, Boston, MA; 4 grandchildren, Cassie, Erin, Emily and Zoey; 1 great-granddaughter, Lilly. A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, February 14, 2021 at 5pm in the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House with Rabbi Laura Abraisli officiating.
