Mr. Neal Green, age 68, of Mobbs School community, passed away suddenly at his home on June 11, 2024. Neal was born in Marshall County, Alabama on August 31, 1955 son of Hoyt B. Green and Ozell Vera Wray Green. He had earned his high school diploma and had retired from Arab City Maintenance Department. Neal was a member of the North Parkway Church of Christ.
Neal was fond of fishing, golfing and spent many hours searching for arrow heads. He and his recently deceased mother, Ozell, spent many hours together. They were often found eagle watching, enjoying Alabama football or enjoying the Wheel of Fortune on TV. Family was important to Neal, he would often be found sharing his knowledge and skills concerning their small engines repair need.
Family members Neal leaves to cherish their memories include: brothers and sisters in law, Lionel “Buddy” and Sydenia Green, Max and Vickie Green, Ted and Vickie Green; sister and brother in law, Avis and Wayne Mason; a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
Preceding Neal in death is his beloved parents, Hoyt and Ozell Green; brother, Travis Green and infant brothers, Edwin, Glenn and Lowell Green.
The family has elected cremation. A Memorial graveside service will be at Mount Olive Cemetery in Morgan City. Friends, relatives and guest will meet on Friday, June 28, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. for the committal service.
