Neal Bradley Estes A service to celebrate the life of Neal Bradley Estes,85 of Guntersville, will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Clear Springs Baptist Church in Guntersville. The Family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm. Burial will be in the Clear Springs Baptist Church Cemetery immediately following the funeral.
Mr. Estes passed away on February 23, 2024, at home, with his loving wife by his side.
Neal Bradley Estes was born on October 2, 1938, Guntersville, Alabama. At his death he was a member of First Baptist Church, Guntersville. He lived in Jacksonville, Alabama for 45 years, and spent many happy days at West Side Baptist Church, Blue Mountain Baptist Church, and First Baptist Church, Jacksonville, before returning to his hometown in 2017. He worked in the elevator industry for most of his adult life, eventually owning his own company, Gadsden Elevator Company. His hobbies included building race cars, renovating antique cars, gardening and fishing. He loved to serve others, and he is known in Jacksonville as the “Christmas Man” because of his elaborate Christmas decorations.
Mr. Estes is preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Nellie Jo Johnson Estes; an infant daughter; his parents: Isaac John Henry “Ike” Estes and Exie Elizabeth Martin Estes; one sister: Jean (Lester) Martin: and three brothers: Frank (Marion) Estes: John (Lucille) Estes and David Estes.
He is survived by his wife Tenia Martin Estes: His children Damon Estes, Gena (Odell) Christopher, and Joseph Estes: his stepson Jeff (Kristie) Kist: his grandchildren: Kate (Chad) Maples, Michael (Lindsey) Estes, Dusty (Lynn) Christopher, Brandi (Michael) Dickerson, Shannon (William) Young, and Bradley Christopher, and step-grandchildren John Hollis (Mallory) Kist and Anna (Taylor) Camper: one brother-in-law Jerry (Grova) Johnson: several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as many friends.
Special caregivers: Veronica Lopez, Gina Colvard and Mary Hernandez
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial gifts be sent to the Clear Springs Cemetery Fund, 6020 Alabama Highway 79 South, Guntersville, Al. 35976
