Nazerine Abernathy, 86, formerly of Sheffield, died Saturday, July 25, 2015. Public viewing will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Thompson and Son Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt. New Home Missionary Baptist Church, Leighton, with burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Leighton. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service.
