TENNESSEE VALLEY-Winter Storm Warning issued for counties north of the TN River and west of I-65.
Winter Weather Advisory issued for counties south of the TN River, along and east of I-65.
Details below
 2-5″ snow accumulations likely over northwest portions of the forecast area.
 Freezing rain/ice more likely south of the TN River and over NE AL.
 Widespread travel impacts likely Monday and Tuesday.
 With wind chills as low as 0 to -10 degrees Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, please take a minute to learn how to best protect your house, family, and pets! Avoid being outdoors if possible, and bundle up in multiple thick layers if you must go outside!

Sewanee, Decherd, Estill Springs, and Cowan

WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 6 AM CST TUESDAY

Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches.  From midnight tonight to 6 AM CST Tuesday.

IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. The cold wind chills as low as zero could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
