National Weather Service Issues Urgent Weather Message For January 14 and 15

TENNESSEE VALLEY-On Saturday, January 13 The National Weather Service has issued an urgent weather message for the following counties in the area for : Lauderdale-Colbert-Franklin AL-Lawrence-Limestone-Madison-Jackson-Moore-Lincoln-Franklin TN this includes the following cities in the area:  Florence, Muscle Shoals, Sheffield,Tuscumbia, Russellville, Red Bay, Moulton, Town Creek, Athens,Huntsville, Scottsboro, Lynchburg, Fayetteville, Winchester,Sewanee, Decherd, Estill Springs, and Cowan.

According to the NWS it will fall below freezing on Monday and remain below freezing through Thursday. Wind chills will be critically cold near 0° both Tuesday and Wednesday morning.

...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH
LATE MONDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 4
  inches possible.

* WHERE...In Alabama, Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin AL,
  Lawrence, Limestone, Madison and Jackson counties. In
  Tennessee, Moore, Lincoln and Franklin TN counties.

* WHEN...From late Sunday night through late Monday night.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous
  conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. The cold
  wind chills as low as zero could result in hypothermia if
  precautions are not taken.
