TUPELO, MS-On January 29, 2018, a traveler advisory will be in effect for the entire length of the Natchez Trace Parkway from Natchez, MS to Nashville, TN. A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet, or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibility. Travelers should exercise caution when driving on the Parkway.
Extreme cold temperatures are expected through the following day and icy conditions are expected to continue until temperatures increase. The Parkway will not be plowed or salted and drivers should remain cautious and reduce speeds especially in shaded areas.
