TUPELO, MS – The Natchez Trace Parkway invites children and their families to come enjoy the Read with a Ranger program at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at the Parkway Visitor Center. This month’s featured story is “The Prairie that Nature Built.” Discover the plants and animals that make a prairie community flourish. After the story, visitors will learn what flowers, insects, and other animals can be found in the Parkway’s Blackland Prairie.
Read with a Ranger is a 45-minute program that is most appropriate for ages six and under, but everyone is welcome. Participants will listen to a story, join in a fun activity, and go on an optional and easy half-mile hike. Read with a Ranger features a new story on the second Saturday of the month.
