TUPELO —The closed section of Natchez Trace Parkway, between MP 320.4 (Highway 72) to MP 326.2 (North Pike Road), has reopened to traffic.
One lane closures will continue as necessary to complete striping and final project cleanup. Please use caution in the area and continue to watch out for workers and equipment. A ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of the 40-mile rehabilitation of the Parkway will be announced at a later date.
The detour south of Tupelo, Mississippi remains in place. Visit www.nps.gov/natr for the most current information on detours and closures on the Parkway. Parkway travelers are reminded to “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” this holiday weekend. No matter how you plan to celebrate the end of summer this year, make sure you plan to do it safely.
