Naomi Perkins Horton Roberts – Obituary

Naomi Perkins Horton Roberts, 87 of Arab, died Wednesday September 27, 2017 at her residence.
Ms. Roberts was born August 27, 1930 in Marshall County to Luther Franklin Perkins and Lealier Forrester Perkins. She was a homemaker, enjoyed crocheting and cooking, singing and loved spending time with her family.
She was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children and in-laws: John Horton, Joe Roberts and Kristie Price, Linda Horton, Kathy Anderton and Robert, Martha Pendergrass and Larry, Sarah McWhorter and Dennis, Pat Saint and Donald and Linda Ann Horton; twenty grandchildren; thirty eight great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; special nephew: Stanley Garrett and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sons: Early Horton Jr. and Donald “Donnie” Roberts; her parents: Luther F. and Lealier Perkins; a brother J.T.Perkins and two sisters: Laddie Wieters and Marcie Poole.
Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Friday September 29, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brother: Keith Hodges and Alicia Leigeber, officiating. Burial will be in Shoal Creek Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Saint, William Roberts, Timothy Pendergrass, Dewayne Horton, Craig McWhorter, James Anderton and Randall Pendergrass.
Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Anderton, Timothy Pendergrass, John Bradley Horton, Joey Roberts, Randall Pendergrass, Jamie Pendergrass, Stanley Garrett, Johnny Wieters and Ernie Wieters.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Friday September 29, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel prior to the service.
