Nancy Taylor Cossey, age 76, of Pontotoc, MS passed away on June 11, 2024 at NMMC in Tupelo, MS.Nancy was born on April 7, 1948 to Willie Jean Carter and William Curtis Taylor in Pontotoc, MS. She spent her life as a devoted provider for her family in Pontotoc. Many will remember her passion, fiery attitude, and resilience. She never met a stranger and never wavered in standing up for what she believed in. Her strength and courage is remembered and remains a guiding principle to those she has impacted.
Visitation will be Thursday June 13 from 5-7 at Browning Funeral Home and the Funeral services will be held at 10:00A.M. Friday, June 14, 2024 at Browning Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Hamilton officiating. Browning Funeral Home in Pontotoc is honored to assist the Cossey family with the arrangements.
She is survived by her two daughters, Donna Grisham (John) and Carrie Cossey Guerreiro, her grandchildren, Sabreena Houston (John Michael), Bell Grisham, Brady Grisham, Lila Guerreiro and Fisher Guerreiro; great grandchildren Emerson Houston and Landon Houston; and two brothers T.C. Taylor and Ray Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Nannie Pearl Taylor and brother James Taylor.
