Obituary of Nancy Sue White Nancy Sue White, age 78, was born January 4, 1946 to John Sharp White and Loche Ferrell White. She graduated from Toccopola High School as the Valedictorian in 1963 and furthered her education at the University of Mississippi. She worked a while for the Mississippi Cooperative Extension Service. She later worked as a care giver including the care of her mother and aunt. She also worked for Wal-Mart for a number of years. She enjoyed reading, cooking and studying nutrition, traveling, and visiting with friends in person or on the telephone.

Nancy grew up in the Toccopola Community and attended the Baptist, Methodist and Presbyterian Churches of the community. She was a member of Lebanon Presbyterian Church and was currently a member of the First Baptist Church in Pontotoc.

Nancy departed this life on May 25, 2024 from her home. Services will be at 2:00 P.M., Monday, May 27, 2024. Visitation will be from 12 until service time at Browning Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Ken Hester, Dr. Ken White and Bro. Jay White will officiate. Interment will be at Lebanon Cemetery in Lafayette County. Browning Funeral Home is honored to assist the White family with the arrangements.

Those left to treasure the memories of Nancy are her sister, Mary Temple White of Pontotoc, MS, her nephew, John White (Beth) of Iuka, MS, her niece Kristy Moore of Booneville, MS. Seven great nieces and nephews and seven great great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by three special cousins, Donald White, Jim White and Judy Phillips.

The loved ones who departed before her include: her parents, her brother and sister-in-law, William Dyke (Bill) and Martha White, and a special aunt, Ruby Ferrell.

Pallbearers will be L.D. Gillespie, Trent Hall, Chris Hall, Bart Ratliff, Don Douglas, Ken White and Jay White.
