Funeral Services for Nancy Spears will be on Tuesday September 17, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Bro. Jimmy Pruitt officiating. Burial will follow in the Potash Church of God Cemetery in Roanoke.

 

Mrs. Spears passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at East Alabama Medical Center. Mrs. Spears was a native of Randolph County Alabama, and had lived in LaGrange, GA, then settled in Ashland. Mrs. Spears was self-employed and owned several stores, and was a member of True Grace Independent Church in Ashland. Jesus was her hobby; she loved going to church, and she prayed for everyone she met. Nancy loved to garden, cook and do crafts, and was the best momma and grandmamma.

 

Mrs. Spears is survived by two sons and two daughters: Richard and Ann Seymour of Ashland, Al; Robbie and Jimmy Pruitt of LaGrange, GA; Shane and Wanda Spears of Ashland, AL; Stephanie and Jason Smith of Ashland, AL; 10 Grandchildren: Brain Seymour, Blair Smallwood, AJ & Heather Smith; Josh and Lacy Pruitt; Claudiya and Jeremy Parsons; Shy Ann and Breden Karr; Payton Spears; Kayla and Jacky Brown; and Paige Brown; 11 Great Grandchildren: Landyn and Aubree Parsons, Oakley Karr; Bowen and Zula Belle Smallwood; Lynleigh and Charleigh Mae Pruitt; Kooper Smith, Junior and Brenden Flanagan; Jayden Spears.

 

Mrs. Spears was preceded in death by her parents: Robert Lee Seymour, and Chloe Claudiya Fincher, her husband Billy Spears, three sisters; Julia Bell Benefield, Francis Roberts and Grace Benefield; two brothers, Howard Seymour and Junior Seymour.

 

Active Pallbearers will be: AJ Smith, Josh Pruitt, Payton Spears; Jeremy Parsons, Brenden Karr and Henry Clayton.

 

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 16, 2019 at 5:00 PM until 8 PM and until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
