Nancy Smith Brizendine Strawn age 71 of Scottsboro, formerly of Bridgeport, Alabama, passed away on Sunday January 8, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones.
Nancy is survived by her husband James Strawn, son Stoney (Georgina) Brizendine, daughter
Hope (Hayden) Martin, bonus children Kenneth (Billie) Strawn, Shelia (Chris) Manning, Grandchildren
Trey (Chelsea) Brizendine, Peyton Brizendine, Kayla (Johnathon) Wilborn, Brandon (Nicole) Strawn,
Chelsea Strawn, Christopher Manning, Jamie Manning, Sam Manning, Jacob Manning, and several great Grandchildren, brother Bruce “Sonny” Smith,
Sisters Lucille McDonald, Mary (Tim) Derhammer, Susie Smith, Connie (Don) Rounsavall and a host
of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Brizendine, parents
Leonard and Alma Lea Smith, Sisters Peggy Waldon, Virginia “Junnie” Brown, brother Jacky Smith
and niece Wendy Rounsavall Thompson. Nancy was member of Pathway Baptist Church and was
retired from the Lozier Corporation after many years.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday January 10, 2023, at the Rudder Funeral Home in Scottsboro
from 5 PM until 8 PM. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday January 11, 2023, at 2PM from the chapel of Rudder Funeral Home in Scottsboro with Bro. Brian Guinn and Bro Joe David Moore Officiating.
Burial will follow in Rocky Springs Cemetery in Bridgeport, Alabama.
