Nancy Pruitt LandryNancy Pruitt Landry, 78, homemaker, died Monday, September 16, 2019 at her residence on Buck Daniels Road.

A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday at 4:30 P.M. at Rose Hill Cemetery with Doug Brown officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorials to Maury Regional Healthcare Foundation Cancer Center Fund, 1224 Trotwood Avenue, Columbia, TN 38401. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Born July 21, 1941 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Edward Pruitt, Sr. and the late Sherman Churchwell Pruitt. On February 6, 1960, she married William Paul “Bill” Landry who preceded her in death September 29, 2004. She was a 1959 graduate of Columbia Central High School. A very loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her great grandchildren were her pride and joy. Mrs. Landry was a member of Mooresville Pike Church of Christ.

Survivors include her daughter, Shannon Landry (Bill) Doelle of Culleoka; grandchildren, Dustin Harrington, Cory (Leandra) Harrington, Delaney (Corey) Duncan, Kacey Landry, Tonya Gibson, Lindsey (Wil) Sands, and Corey (Gene) Aiello; twelve great grandchildren; sister, Mary Runions of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death her son, Tracy Shawn Landry; sisters, Mildred Turner, June King; and brothers, Walter Edward “Pete” Pruitt, Jr., Harold Vernon Pruitt, Ralph Pruitt, and Billy Harrison Pruitt.

Active pallbearers will be Corey Duncan, Cory Harrington, Dustin Harrington, Wil Sands, Billy Pruitt, Jason Sprouse, Bill Doelle, and Jackie Sprouse. Honorary pallbearers include Mildred Holcomb and Janice Brown
